Our Wedding

Sometimes love finds you when you least expect it — or in our case, through a dating app. Our first date was at Habaneros in Grandview Heights, which quickly became “our place.” Whether it was dinner out or takeout on the couch, it became a part of our weekly routine and a place that always felt like home. After that first date in June 2024, it didn’t take long for things to fall into place. By July 22, 2024, during a casual night in, Josh asked Aspen to be his girlfriend — no big production, just the two of us, perfectly us. On October 10th, 2025, Josh told Aspen they were celebrating her birthday a little late. He planned a trip to Rockside Winery &amp; Vineyards, where, in the 12th row of the vines, a blanket, flowers, a charcuterie board, and a personalized bottle of wine were waiting. There, surrounded by love and laughter, Josh got down on one knee and proposed. The celebrations continued that night at Martini’s — one of their favorite spots downtown — and the next day with a surprise party full of family and friends. God had been working behind the scenes for years. Both Aspen and Josh attended Ohio University, graduated the same year, and even crossed paths at the same places without ever meeting. It wasn’t until years later that life (and a dating app) decided it was finally time. Now, their two labs — Oakley and Saudi — are the best of friends, and together they make the perfect little family.

What is the Dress Code?The attire is Formal Black Tie - please see the 'Dress Code' section of our website for more details and examples! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors on grass. We recommend footwear suitable for grassy terrain, as conditions may vary with the weather.

Can I bring my kids?We love your kids—we really do! But we’re excited to make this a grown-ups’ night to unwind, laugh, and dance the night away. We hope you’ll enjoy a well-deserved evening out with us!

Can I bring a guest?We kindly ask that only the guests listed on your invitation attend. We wish we could celebrate with everyone we love, but we’re keeping our guest list intimate. Thank you for understanding!

Is parking available at the venue?Yes, complimentary parking is available on-site. Cars must be gone by 9am Sunday or they will be stuck at the venue until Monday at 10am.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?We’re having an unplugged ceremony — please put phones away so you can be present with us!

Formal Black Tie

We’re so excited to celebrate this special evening with all of our favorite people, and we’d love for the night to feel elegant and festive. Our celebration will be formal black tie, which simply means we invite guests to dress in formal evening attire. For the gentlemen:A tuxedo is wonderful, but a dark suit/three-piece suit and tie (or bowtie) will fit right in. Black/dark colored shoes or highly polished oxfords are encouraged. For the ladies:A floor-length gown or dress is perfect. Don't be afraid to wear something with color!The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors on grass. We recommend footwear suitable for grassy terrain, as conditions may vary with the weather. Think timeless, polished, and ready to celebrate — when in doubt, a little extra sparkle or a sharp jacket never hurts!
